Questions? Glad you asked.

Does salon inventory software work if I don't count stock every week?

Yes, and that is the point of it. The system recalculates from what you buy, receive and use, so a stocktake corrects the picture instead of carrying it. Usage is learned from how you work, so skip a week and the plan still holds.

How is this different from the inventory built into my booking software?

Booking platforms give you somewhere to record product: a count you update by hand, beside scheduling and payments. The thinking stays with you — what is running down, how much to buy, from whom and when. Suplery does that part. It recalculates from real usage, predicts what runs down, and drafts the purchase orders supplier by supplier for your approval.

Will I have to replace my booking system?

No. Suplery runs alongside your booking and payment software and never touches the appointment book. It owns the supply job — stock, costs and ordering — that scheduling tools treat as a side function. Direct integrations are coming.

Can I keep buying from the suppliers I already use?

Yes. Suplery works with the suppliers, prices, terms and ordering rhythm you already have. You keep supplier records in the system, send orders straight to them, and track every order — placed with your own suppliers or through the pro shop — in one dashboard.

Can Suplery order from all my suppliers at once?

Yes. Suplery drafts a separate purchase order for each supplier you buy from, based on predicted usage and delivery times, and you approve them from one place.

How long does it take to set up salon inventory management software?

About 10 minutes, and about 30 minutes more for your first count. Building a product list by hand is what stalls most inventory projects, and elsewhere that runs to days. Here, 14,000+ professional products come preloaded with full data, anything else is added by photographing it, and the count itself is barcode scanning with your phone. No spreadsheet migration, no catalog to build.

Is Suplery only for large salons?

No. It is built for licensed professionals at any size. A solo esthetician's treatment room runs on the same engine as a multi-location group, with the plan sized accordingly.

Do I need to be verified to use the software?

No. Verification applies only to the wholesale shop, because it gives access to professional-only products. The inventory software is open to any beauty business.

How much does salon inventory software cost?

Plans run from a single user to multi-location groups, and each starts with a free 7-day trial with no card required. See current plans on the pricing page. The wholesale shop has no subscription fee, on any plan or without one.

What's the difference between a reorder point and a par level?

A reorder point is the stock level that triggers a new order, calculated from usage rate and supplier lead time. A par level is the quantity you top back up to. Suplery works both out from real usage instead of asking you to guess them. Which method suits which product is covered in reorder point vs par level.

What percentage of spa and med-spa revenue comes from retail products?

Retail can be a meaningful revenue stream. In ISPA's 2024 survey, 48% of spa respondents generated at least 10% of total revenue from retail sales. AmSpa's 2017 industry study reported retail at 18% of revenue at the average medical spa.

How do I estimate what ordering admin costs my business?

It depends on how often you order, how long each order takes, how much time goes into matching payments, and whose time it is. Suplery's calculator uses those inputs. As an example, recovering two hours a week at $33.54 an hour — O*NET's 2025 median for personal-service managers — is about $3,488 a year in management time, before rush-order costs.
