🧪 A professional-grade AHA peel neutralizer from CIRCADIA — built to give estheticians precise, on-demand control over peel depth and exposure time.

Sodium bicarbonate is the workhorse here: applied as a spray immediately after processing, it raises skin surface pH above the activation threshold of lactic acid and alpha/beta acid peels, halting chemical exfoliation reliably rather than relying on visual cues or rinse timing. The spray format enables rapid, even coverage across the full treatment zone — including the jawline and hairline — without manual contact, reducing the risk of uneven neutralization mid-service.

The same alkaline chemistry pulls double duty: misted onto clean skin before manual extractions, it softens hardened sebum within follicles, making extractions more efficient and easier on reactive clients. One product that anchors the peel step and enhances your pre-extraction protocol is a genuine workflow advantage.

A smart addition to any peel-focused practice looking to tighten service control and streamline facial workflows.

Benefits

  • Halts AHA and Alpha/Beta Acid Activity: Raises the skin surface pH above the activation threshold of AHA (Lactic Acid) and Alpha/Beta acid peels, reliably stopping the chemical exfoliation process on demand. Provides the professional with precise control over peel depth and exposure time.
  • Convenient Spray Delivery for Even Coverage: The spray format allows rapid, even distribution across the full treatment area without the need for direct manual contact, minimizing the risk of uneven neutralization and reducing the time the acid remains active on the skin surface.
  • Supports Desincrustation Services: The alkaline bicarbonate solution can be applied as a pre-extraction desincrustation step, softening hardened sebum within follicles and loosening surface debris to make manual extractions more efficient.

Active ingredients

Sodium Bicarbonate: A mild alkaline salt that is the core functional ingredient of this neutralizing spray. When sprayed onto skin following a gel-based chemical peel, Sodium Bicarbonate raises the surface pH above the active threshold of AHA and Alpha/Beta acids, stopping their exfoliating action. The same alkaline chemistry also makes it effective as a desincrustation agent — when applied to intact skin before extractions, it softens hardened sebum and loosens debris within follicles, improving the ease of manual extractions.

How to use

  1. Complete the chemical peel application and observe the prescribed processing time per the Circadia gel peel protocol.
  2. Holding the bottle upright, mist the pK Peel Neutralizing Spray evenly across the entire treated area of the client's face from a distance of approximately 15–20 cm.
  3. Allow the spray to remain on the skin for a brief moment to ensure full contact with the residual peel solution.
  4. Gently remove the neutralized peel solution using damp gauze or a soft sponge, working outward from the center of the face.
  5. Follow with post-peel care per the Circadia post-treatment protocol appropriate to the client's skin type and the peel depth used.
  6. For desincrustation use: mist the spray onto clean skin prior to extractions, allow to soften follicular debris for 1–2 minutes, then proceed with standard extraction technique.

Peel service control and desincrustation integration

Keeping the spray bottle angled perpendicular to the skin surface and maintaining consistent distance produces the most even pH neutralization across the treatment zone — particularly important along the jawline and hairline where misting angle naturally changes. For clients with a history of reactive skin or first-time peel recipients, a conservative neutralization approach (spray, wait five seconds, then remove) gives the professional a reliable end point without relying on visual cues alone.

When incorporating the product as a desincrustation step in a facial service, applying it after steam and before manual extractions aligns with traditional esthetics protocol. The alkaline environment temporarily softens the skin's surface, which can meaningfully reduce extraction pressure — a useful talking point when onboarding clients who are anxious about discomfort.
