💆 A concentrated face oil from Christine Valmy, purpose-built as the slip medium for gua sha and cupping services — while delivering a multi-active treatment in a single step.

The formula pairs Bakuchiol — a plant-derived retinol alternative — with a lipid-soluble vitamin C ester (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) to visibly smooth fine lines, fade dark spots, and even skin tone over time. Sea Buckthorn Oil and CoQ10 layer in antioxidant defense and deep nourishment, while Coffea Arabica Seed Extract targets the periorbital area to reduce the visible appearance of dark circles and puffiness — precisely where cupping and gua sha strokes do their best work. Calendula Extract rounds the formula with a soothing finish that counterbalances the stimulation of facial manipulation techniques.

Because it absorbs without rinsing, there is no service interruption — and its Bakuchiol-and-vitamin-C story makes it a natural retail conversation the moment the client asks what you just used.

A strong fit for estheticians offering facial massage services who want every stroke to count therapeutically.

Benefits

  • Visibly Smoother, Younger-Looking Skin: Bakuchiol — the formula's plant-derived retinol alternative — works over time to reduce the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and even skin texture, delivering retinol-like results with a gentler profile suited to sensitive-skin clients.
  • Brighter, More Even Skin Tone: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, a lipid-soluble vitamin C ester stable in the oil base, provides antioxidant activity that helps fade the look of dark spots and delivers an immediate brightening effect on the skin's appearance.
  • Antioxidant Environmental Defense: Sea Buckthorn Oil, Ubiquinone (CoQ10), and Coffea Arabica Seed Extract form a layered antioxidant system that helps protect the skin's surface from visible free-radical and environmental damage.
  • Reduced Appearance of Dark Circles and Puffiness: Coffea Arabica Seed Extract helps minimize the visible appearance of dark circles and puffiness, making this oil particularly effective when used during gua sha and cupping services that target the delicate eye area.
  • Deep Skin Nourishment: Sea Buckthorn Oil contributes a rich spectrum of unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids, phytosterols, and vitamins E and K that visibly support skin barrier condition, especially beneficial for dry or dehydrated skin clients.
  • Soothing Post-Service Comfort: Calendula Flower Extract's naturally occurring flavonoids deliver a calming, soothing effect on the skin surface — an important counterbalance after the stimulating physical manipulation of gua sha and cupping treatments.
  • Visibly Lifted and Toned Appearance: When used as a slip medium for gua sha facial massage, the oil facilitates the controlled gliding strokes that help visibly tone facial muscles and soften the appearance of expression lines for a lifted, sculpted look.

Active ingredients

Bakuchiol: A plant-derived retinol alternative that mimics retinol's visible skin-smoothing effects — helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and supports a more even skin tone, without the irritation commonly associated with retinoids.

Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil - known as Sea Buckthorn Oil: A fatty-acid-rich botanical oil delivering a dense nutritional complex of unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids, phytosterols, and vitamins E and K that supports skin barrier integrity and provides antioxidant protection while contributing to the oil's nourishing, revitalizing character.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate: A lipid-soluble, oil-stable ester form of vitamin C that integrates seamlessly into an anhydrous oil formula, delivering antioxidant protection and helping improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and luminosity from within the oil phase.

Coffea Arabica Seed Extract - known as Coffee Seed Extract: A caffeine-rich botanical extract that provides antioxidant defense and is associated with visibly reducing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness in the periorbital area, aligned with the brand's gua sha and cupping service context.

Ubiquinone - known as Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): A fat-soluble antioxidant (CoQ10) that helps neutralize free-radical damage and protects the skin against environmental stressors while supporting the skin's moisture retention in an anhydrous delivery system.

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract - known as Calendula Extract: A flavonoid-rich marigold flower extract recognized for its soothing properties on the skin surface, providing a calming complement to the potentially sensitizing effects of active-rich massage techniques like gua sha and cupping.

Ingredients

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, C15-19 Alkane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propanediol, Squalane, Lanolin Alcohol, Bakuchiol, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Coffea Arabica Seed Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Ubiquinone, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Oil

How to use

  1. Cleanse and prepare the client's face thoroughly before beginning the service.
  2. Dispense 3–5 drops of Christine Valmy Treatment Face Oil onto the fingertips or directly onto the client's skin.
  3. Gently warm the oil between the palms and press onto the client's face, neck, and décolleté as desired to distribute the product evenly.
  4. For gua sha: hold the gua sha tool at a 15–30° angle to the skin and perform smooth, upward and outward strokes along the jawline, cheekbones, brow bone, and neck, using the oil as a slip medium.
  5. For cupping: place the facial cups on oiled skin and glide in upward lifting strokes along the jawline, cheeks, forehead, and neck, maintaining gentle, consistent suction throughout.
  6. Continue the service for the desired duration, reapplying oil as needed to maintain adequate slip and prevent the tool from dragging on the skin.
  7. At the close of the service, allow the remaining oil to absorb fully into the skin — do not rinse off.
  8. Advise the client to avoid applying additional heavy products over the oil until full absorption is complete.

Pro tips for gua sha and cupping services

For clients with dry, dehydrated, or mature skin, a slightly more generous application of the oil enhances slip and extends the service window without the need to pause and reapply. When working the periorbital area to address dark circles and puffiness — a key benefit of the Coffea Arabica complex — use the smallest cupping tool available and limit suction to the lightest setting. This is a strong retail conversion moment: after the service, walk the client through the Bakuchiol and vitamin C actives in the formula and recommend the oil for at-home use as a gua sha maintenance ritual between professional appointments.
