✨ A gel-format facial mask from Christine Valmy's professional skincare system — purpose-built for dry and dehydrated skin that needs real moisture restoration, not just surface comfort.

The formula centers on glycerin-driven humectancy paired with Lactic Acid to gently resurface and support the skin's acid mantle, while Aloe Vera, Chamomile, and Gentian extracts work through the 15–20 minute contact window to calm visible redness and sensitivity. Kaolin and Zinc Oxide address the dehydrated-oily overlap — balancing surface sebum without stripping — making this a credible fit for combination clients presenting with reactive dryness. The Christine Valmy layering protocol (penetrating cream applied beneath the mask, matched to dry vs. dehydrated presentation) differentiates this from standalone masking steps and rewards proper intake assessment. Optional Valinsta Powder blending creates a customizable redness-targeting tier that supports upselling a premium facial service.

A strong addition for estheticians building out corrective facial protocols for reactive, dry, or dehydrated clients.

Benefits

  • Deep Moisture Delivery: Glycerin — positioned at high concentration in the formula — draws water to the skin surface throughout the 15–20 minute treatment, visibly improving the appearance of hydration and softness in dry and dehydrated skin.
  • Acid Mantle Support: Lactic Acid gently buffers the formula to a mildly acidic pH aligned with the skin's natural acid mantle, helping to restore surface balance while simultaneously providing mild exfoliation that smooths texture and primes the skin to receive subsequent conditioning.
  • Soothing and Calming Effect: Aloe Vera and Gentian Extracts work together to help soothe the appearance of sensitivity and redness, making this mask suitable for reactive or compromised dry skin that needs a gentle, comforting treatment.
  • Softening and Skin Conditioning: Chamomile and Honey Extracts help soften and condition the skin surface during the extended contact time, leaving skin feeling supple and relaxed after the service.
  • Surface Oil Control: Kaolin clay adsorbs excess sebum and surface impurities during the masking period, helping to balance the appearance of oiliness without disrupting the skin's moisture levels — beneficial for combination or dehydrated-oily skin profiles.
  • Antimicrobial Surface Protection: Zinc Oxide contributes mild antimicrobial properties at the skin surface, helping to control bacterial presence and support a cleaner skin environment after the service.

Active ingredients

Glycerin: A high-concentration humectant that draws moisture to the skin surface, forming the hydrating backbone of the mask and helping to visibly soften and plump the appearance of dry, dehydrated skin during the treatment.

Lactic Acid: A mild alpha-hydroxy acid that gently resurfaces the skin surface and buffers the formula to a slightly acidic pH, supporting the skin's natural acid mantle while helping to smooth texture and improve moisture uptake.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract - known as Aloe Vera Extract: A botanical extract rich in polysaccharides and phytochemicals that helps soothe the appearance of sensitivity and supports the skin's moisture balance, making it a key comfort active for reactive dry or dehydrated skin.

Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract - known as Chamomile Extract: A botanical extract traditionally used to help soften and condition the skin, contributing a calming sensory experience and helping to reduce the appearance of redness during the mask treatment.

Kaolin: A fine white clay mineral that physically adsorbs excess surface sebum and impurities during the 15–20 minute contact period, helping to balance oiliness and refine skin texture without over-drying.

Zinc Oxide: A mineral active that contributes mild antimicrobial surface properties and helps soothe the skin's appearance, supporting the mask's germicidal benefit claim while being gentle enough for sensitive, dehydrated skin.

How to use

  1. Cleanse the client's face thoroughly and complete any preceding treatment steps (extractions, exfoliation, or electrical modalities) before mask application.
  2. Select the appropriate penetrating cream base per skin type: apply Valissima, Embryoval, or Cell Renewal Cream for dry skin, or Valmarina for dehydrated skin, and allow it to absorb briefly.
  3. Apply a thick, even layer of Valmask II over the penetrating cream across the face, avoiding the immediate eye area.
  4. If addressing visible redness, mix ½ tsp of Valinsta Powder with Allantoin and Aloe Vera (or water) to form a paste and blend into the mask layer before application.
  5. If using a High Frequency Machine for enhanced penetration, apply the device over the mask layer per the machine's operating protocol.
  6. Leave the mask on for 15–20 minutes.
  7. Remove the mask with moistened cotton pads using gentle, upward strokes.
  8. Refresh the skin with Valmist II toning mist.
  9. Complete the service by applying a daytime protection lotion appropriate to the client's skin type.

Protocol and Upsell Notes

The layering instruction (penetrating cream beneath the mask) is a brand-specific protocol integral to the Christine Valmy system — confirm the correct companion cream is on hand before the service to avoid substitution. The four cream options map to two distinct skin conditions (dry vs. dehydrated), so a brief intake question about the client's current skin state helps ensure the correct pairing and demonstrates professional assessment skill.

The Valinsta Powder add-in for redness is an on-demand customization that elevates the service from a standard mask to a targeted treatment — a natural conversation point for upselling a customized facial tier. After the service, recommending the matching at-home hydrating products from the Christine Valmy line extends the professional result and supports retail conversion.
