🧪 A professional-grade light chemical peel built around a four-acid AHA/BHA blend — lactic, glycolic, salicylic, and succinic — formulated to smooth uneven texture, clear dead cell buildup, and address dullness without the aggressive on-skin feel typical of high-strength exfoliants.

What sets Valpeel II apart in a crowded peel category is its integrated calming complex: Centella Asiatica and Balloon Plant (Cardiospermum Halicacabum) Extract work alongside the antioxidant flavonoid Rutin to visibly reduce treatment-related redness — keeping clients comfortable during and after the service. An emollient copolymer system further softens the acid contact experience, making the service easier to manage across varying skin tolerances.

The two-phase application protocol — timed, remove, reapply — gives you a built-in mid-service checkpoint to calibrate exfoliation depth per client, from first-time exposure through more advanced sessions.

Worth adding to your facial peel rotation when client comfort and texture results need to come from the same service.

Benefits

  • Multi-Depth Exfoliation: The combined lactic, glycolic, salicylic, and succinic acid system works at multiple levels of the stratum corneum to loosen and remove dead cell buildup, visibly refining skin texture and smoothness after a single peel service.
  • Reduced Treatment-Related Redness: Cardiospermum Halicacabum (Balloon Plant) Extract and Centella Asiatica work together to visibly calm the appearance of redness and skin sensitivity during and after the exfoliation process, supporting greater client comfort throughout the service.
  • Comfortable, Non-Aggressive Application Feel: The Diheptyl Succinate and Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer emollient system softens the on-skin feel of the exfoliant solution, reducing harshness at the surface and leaving skin feeling smoother immediately after removal.
  • Antioxidant Soothing Support: Rutin, a flavonoid antioxidant, contributes an additional calming dimension to the formula by helping to visibly minimize the appearance of reactive redness, complementing the botanical soothing complex.
  • Graduated Treatment Intensity: The two-phase application protocol — with defined timing for first-time versus repeat clients — allows the professional to precisely calibrate exfoliation depth based on the client's skin tolerance, maximizing results while managing sensitivity risk.

Active ingredients

Lactic Acid / Glycolic Acid / Salicylic Acid — Multi-Acid AHA/BHA Blend: A combined exfoliant system of two alpha-hydroxy acids (lactic and glycolic) and one beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic), working at different depths of the stratum corneum to loosen and remove dead cell buildup, smooth skin texture, and refine the complexion across a single treatment application.

Succinic Acid: A dicarboxylic acid that contributes mild exfoliating and pore-clarifying activity while also supporting skin surface evenness; its presence alongside the AHA/BHA blend extends the multi-acid mechanism and adds differentiation beyond a standard glycolic/lactic peel.

Cardiospermum Halicacabum Extract - known as Balloon Plant Extract: A botanical extract from the balloon plant vine, valued in professional facial treatments for its calming properties that help reduce the appearance of redness and sensitivity associated with exfoliant application, supporting client comfort during and after a peel service.

Centella Asiatica Extract - known as Gotu Kola Extract: A well-established botanical active recognized for its soothing and skin-calming properties, reinforcing the formula's calming and soothing positioning by helping to visibly reduce post-peel redness and supporting skin comfort during the treatment window.

Diheptyl Succinate (and) Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer: A plant-derived emollient system that softens the feel of the exfoliant solution against the skin, improving application texture and leaving the skin surface smoother and more comfortable following acid contact — branded as an emollient that 'improves skin feel and texture.'

Rutin: A flavonoid antioxidant (quercetin glycoside) that complements the soothing action of the botanical actives by helping to visibly calm the appearance of redness, providing an antioxidant contribution relevant to post-exfoliation skin sensitivity.

How to use

  1. Assess the client's skin history, current prescription use, and contraindications before proceeding with the service.
  2. Cleanse the client's face thoroughly to remove makeup, oils, and surface debris.
  3. Protect the periocular area, lip border, and any areas of broken or sensitized skin.
  4. Apply the peel solution evenly to the client's face using a brush, working in consistent sections.
  5. For first-time clients: allow the solution to remain on the skin for 1–2 minutes, then remove with moistened cotton pads and re-apply for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  6. For clients with prior treatment history: allow the solution to remain on the skin for 3 minutes, then remove with moistened cotton pads and re-apply for an additional 3–6 minutes.
  7. For a deeper exfoliation on experienced clients: the product may be left on the skin for up to 9 minutes total; monitor the client's comfort and skin response throughout.
  8. Remove the peel solution thoroughly using compresses soaked in cool water.
  9. Finish the service by applying Arlacengel followed by a calming or soothing mask appropriate to the client's skin type.

Timing and client progression

Track each client's cumulative exposure time across sessions and document their response before advancing to longer contact periods. The two-phase application method — remove and reapply — allows the professional to reset and reassess the skin's reaction mid-service, providing a built-in safety checkpoint rather than committing to a single extended exposure. For clients progressing from first-time to repeat protocols, a conservative one-session overlap at the shorter timing can confirm skin tolerance before stepping up. Consider retailing a calming home-care product at checkout to extend the soothing benefit and reinforce the professional treatment outcome between appointments.
